About Me

My name is Katherine and just like many of you, I want to be happy being me. I am a college student. I have a lot going on and sometimes it can be overwhelming. I want to feel confident in my own skin and live a long, beautiful life. I read that it is easier to make dreams a reality with some help. I created this blog to help encourage you to do everything you want to do and hopefully, you can do the same for me. I want to work as a team to achieve our goals that we thought we would never see. I look forward to hearing success stories and seeing more results. Don’t be afraid to comment, share your views and ideas. Now let’s be who we want to be and look good too!

  1. This is an interesting blog, Katherine! I was an athlete as a teenager, but I was clinically obese for the past two years. I recently got into surfing, and it helped me rekindle my love for the active life. Your confidence and fitness dedication are practical and inspiring. Hope you get to try more fun activities!

  2. Your blog is really inspring and motivating me, thank you :-) Unfortunately I can’t do sports at the moment, I feel I’m getting the flu :-/ And it’s F***ing cold outside so I won’t run for a million dollar ;-) I am looking for a fitness center, but I can’t find one which I could like and pay (!).
(Uh, maybe I should spend my money for another English language course… ;-) )
So good luck to you and go on blogging and sporting!

  4. You live in Hawaii?! That’s awesome! And probably, if you like the outdoors and aren’t a jerk… then YES! we would be good friends! Good luck with running!

  5. Yeah, my husband is in the Marine Corps, so that’s why we live here. I grew up in Central Florida though, near Daytona. And i went to school at UNF! I was a swimmer my freshman year, actually.

My real love is the beach though. I love open water!!

And I’m way not a jerk, hehe. I try to be super sweet, actually.

Your blog is great. Keep it up, post more!

  8. I found your blog by chance and I’m glad I did. I look forward to reading your articles. Its nice to find a fellow heath and fitness blogger in the Tampa area, as I live here too. We should start up some local tampa health bloggers group or something! :-)

  9. Although I subscribed to your blog a while ago, I have been busy with school and haven’t been reading much of it. Today though I spent some time on it and I gotta say that I love it!! You inspire me! =)

My whole life I have been a bit chubby, especially when I was a kid. I was too shy to go to martial art classes (something I always wanted to do), or to do any other kind of sport. I just didn’t wanna do it if I didn’t know the people. Then I moved from Vigo (Spain) to Fuerteventura (Canary Islands). Since the town where I lived wasn’t very big, I would just walk everywhere. To school, to my friends’ houses, etc. I would even go on long walks alone and I really enjoyed it. Within 4 months I had lost a few kilos.

When I came back to Vigo because of university, I had to spend lots of hours in class or doing homework, and in my free time I didn’t really feel like doing much. Especially in this area where I live, so I gained 10 kilos (around 22 lbs I think). And now I have started exercising. Not only to look better, but because I noticed that my health is not as good as it was before. Everything hurts. My knees, my feet, my wrists,… I feel like an 80-year-old woman, and I am only 22.

I hope that one day I can be as active as you. I want to be addicted to moving! =D

Do you have any recommendations on how to start running? I’d really like to do that =D

Anyway, sorry for this bible I’ve written!

    Keep up the good work!

  10. My tip is to not be nervous and just have fun. Once I got out of the start, it was a blast. And remember to push yourself.. it’s amazing what you can do. Believe me, I look back and I am amazed at how fast I ran. I lterally have no idea how I did. Incredible feeling.
